Bone Density Scan and Interpretation - 100

This service provides a DXA scan of the hip and spine to measure the precise bone density of these two key regions. We will analyze how your bone density compares to the normal values for someone of your age. Interpretation also includes a discussion on how to improve your bone mass naturally, without the use of drugs. This test is appropriate for men and women above the age of 30.

 

Bodycomp hourly rates- 200/hour (3 scans)

Do you have a sports team, large family or corporate group or research project to scan? You can book hourly blocks of time from Bodycomp and save money if your group is organized for quick sequential scans. Call or email for details.

Custom Packages

Our scanning services are great for bringing health and wellness awareness to your corporate staff or group. With a custom Bodycomp package we will provide bone density screening and/or body composition scans, and provide your employees with high quality educational materials and interpretation of their scans.

Our bone density screening clinics provide:
  • lumbar spine and proximal femur bone density assessment  using the same diagnostic tests as hospitals and clinics
  • fracture risk assessment 
  • education about exercise and dietary requirements for healthy bones

 The DXA Body Composition scans provide:

  • percent body fat, total fat mass, total lean tissue mass and a regionalized breakdown providing specifics for legs, arms and torso
  • analysis of who is at increased risk for cardiovascular disease, diabetes and some cancers, based on body fat values and fat distribution
  • correlation with percent body fat values to published health and fitness standards
